The Best Ab Exercises To Get Six Pack Abs

In this video I'm going to share some of my favorite abdominal exercises for getting six pack abs. However, the real key to building a shredded 6 pack is simply losing all the excess bodyfat that is covering your abs. Everyone has ab muscles, the only problem is that for 99% of the population those abs are covered by a layer of blubber. If you lose the fat, you'll see your abs.

  1. good stuff Lee,

Ive always told people that diet is fundamental for the appearance for the abdominals to show. Big misconception people have thinking that doing 3 million core exercises e.g. the ultimate jack knife crunch, will make it appear.

  2. Hi Lee,

At the end you say abs are "stabilizer" muscles and thus you don't have to do heavy overloading like one would do for chest/back/etc... But if one would, wouldn't that result greater ab development? And thus result in better definition (deeper "cuts")?

  4. Thanks for all the ab exercises, Lee! Some of these I have heard of, but some of them I have never done so I will try to incorporate them into my workout. Also, if anyone wants extra ab exercises, I suggest they check out the book, The Abs Diet, by David Zinczenko. This not only is a book that shows you how to diet so you can see your abs, but also it has about 20 ab exercises, so you never have to do the same one twice.
    Thanks Again,
    Joseph

  5. I liked this video. I am a 5 foot 1, 101 lb long distance runner. I exercise my abs every other day and I do find that when I work my abs and cut out the excess carbs, I get a flatter stomach, but no "six pack" definition. These results are satisfying for me. Would you say that a defined "six pack" is under every person's 'flab' or is that for men only? I really don't think I am 'flabby.'
