Barbell Curl and Press Hybrid Exercise Combo

In this video clip I'm demonstrating a bicep barbell curl and reverse grip shoulder press combo. This is an awesome way to work both the biceps and front deltoids at the same time.

You will get a better pump throughout the biceps doing this exercise variation because the motion of lifting the arms up to the position where you'll then press the bar overhead hits the biceps from a unique angle that you'll never experience with regular barbell curls.

Give this exercise a try in your next arm workout and leave me a comment to let me know how it works for you.

  3. Why are you useing so much body motion? Is this part of the proper execution, or is it poor form.

  4. Morning Lee,

You once asked me for any ideas I may have for you to make your fitness programs e-mails better. I like many may have said the same thing and that was to show more video's of you doing the exercise for visual effects.
You already were doing it, but now I notice it even more and also you have your girl friend doing the exercise along with you. That is awsome and I have been shareing your e-mails with family and friends.

    Keep Up The Good Work.Nelson(Herc)

  8. Hi Lee,
Its been a while since I last left a comment, but this one had to be done. The exercise is amazing. I was doing my biceps and triceps today. I didn't have time for tri's yesterday after chest, and postponed back for tomorrow so that I could squeeze in tricepts today. The exercise was a great closing ex. I smashed four sets of four different ex on biceps, moved onto four sets of two ex for triceps, and then finished with the ex you posted on your video. Not only was it a good finishing ex for some final tear-ups (LOL), but it really fealt like a great burnout. I must agree, it certainly gives you an amazing pump, and leaves you feeling like you've had a good day in the gym. The ex really does target all the muscle groups, and also trains them to work in conjunction with each other. I have never tried that ex before, and it is great to try something new in order to break up the monotony of the usual workouts. Once again, thank you for your invaluable hints and tips. I have been passing them on to my fellow Royal Marines Commandos, and they have you to thank for all the recent gains we have made over the last several weeks.
