Arnold Press Exercise Benefits

In this quick video clip I'm demonstrating how to do the Arnold Press, which is a shoulder press variation. The benefits to Arnold Presses vs. Shoulder Presses is that you can work the different heads of the deltoids as you do the exercise and get some unique muscle stimulation from this exercise variation.

If you've been doing regular shoulder presses for a while and want to change things up, then give the Arnold Press a try in your next shoulder workout.

  1. Hello Lee,
The Arnold press looks really cool. Right now I'm sporting a right hand minor injury from helping a friend move out of his apartment 10 days ago and it hurts like hell when I try to squeeze the grippers. I have a cut in my middle hand that when I squeezes it starts to bleed. I star working out again this Monday no mater what. I'll just wrap something around it and try those arnold press. I'm going to try them with barbell presses. HA! HA! just kidding Lee. You always try to find new exercises to keep owr workouts interesting. You the best Lee. Good job coach.

  3. Thanks for the tip Lee. Just wondering though, does the Arnold Press place a lot of stress on the shoulder joint since you are coming down so low?

  4. Hi Lee

Did not think i could do that exercice, last summer i had a very bad shoulder injury. And actually i was able to give it a go. Very good burn. I like it....I follow this with a military press. major burn after those 2.
