It's from William Blackstone who bought the "Blast Your Bench" program 4 years ago. And during that time he has taken his bench press from 385 pounds to a whopping 525 pounds! At 48 years of age! And just in case you are wondering, this is a RAW lift, meaning no bench press shirt. Anyway you slice it that is one heck of an impressive lift by anyone's standards.
This is what William wrote me:
Hi Lee,
I don't know if this will reach you or not, but I have purchased your bench press work out almost 4 years ago. I still receive your e-mails and I love receiving the communications from you.
I feel that your routine is the best on the market. I took a 385 press @ 194 BW age 45. To a 525 press @ 214 BW age 48. I have used your system 3 times a year since the initial purchase. Every time through I've always set a new personal strength record gaining more on my bench.
In October 2009, I hope to be contending for the all time 220 weight class 100% clean Bench press. This I give a lot of credit to you and your system. I am constantly asked how I do it. I just tell them to get Lee Hayward's BLAST YOUR BENCH.
Do to your program I have gone up in weight class (do to muscle mass) Gone up in pressing abilities. Hold numerous World, National, State Bench press records. I lift totally drug free and only RAW.
Again thanks a quarter ton :)

To prove these lifts William has even posted up a video page showing his training in the gym. This video below is of him doing a 465 pound bench in training.
You can see more of his lifts at:
http://s702.photobucket.com/albums/ww28/bigarm19/?action=view¤t=20090903175717.flv
And if you'd like to get your very own copy of the "Blast Your Bench" program and make strength gains like William, then you can do so right now at: http://www.BlastYourBench.com/mainpage.htm
Heck, even if you only did half as good as William you'd still be benching 260+ pounds which is a lot more then the average Joe you see in the gym.
Why not give the program a shot for yourself. You've got nothing to lose and a whole lot of strength to gain...
Let's get busy!

do it with out help
ReplyDeleteWhat a fat useless turd.
ReplyDelete1) You look like a fat moron. How about a couple weeks of trimming, so you don't look like you eat cheeseburgers all day.
2) Do more than one rep without help. You get nothing from one rep, it's only for show, which is unfortunate because (see point 1)
I should do it with out help? Excuse me! A true spotter stays with the bar at all times. I love when people get jelous. As for being like I eat cheeseburgers all day. That is what you call an arch. My waist is actually a 34. I wonder what you will look like at 48? Try looking at the 100% RAW Federation bench records. Look in the 220 class bench rankings page. Look in the 242 rankings. All I can say is, this fat old turd can do what you can't even dream. Do more than one rep with out help? Try to know my work out before commenting. If you looked at my Photo bucket, you will see that I did boards with 520.
ReplyDeleteDon't sign Anonymous any more. Just sign. jelouse.

500 is just insane. I could hardly do that. That guy is a God I tell you. Yeah but you have to do your reps to see results if that is meant for that.
ReplyDeleteMuscle Building freak, That was a lift I did after a secion of boards. 520x3 3 boards, 520x3 2 boards, 520x2 missing the third 1 board. Then I did this lift, proposed opener for a meet coming up September 27 2009. I will post the lifts some time after the meet on my photo bucket. We all will see what an old fat turd can do.:)
ReplyDeleteProposed lifts 1)465 2)490 3)510 4 520
Keep up the great work, Bill! We're looking forward to your 500+ at the 2010 APA Raw Nationals.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bud and Thanks for the invite. I hope I can swing it. It's 2 days after Tax evasion day!
ReplyDeleteTo all you "big lifters" out there putting $ Bill down, why don't YOU post a video of your 225 lb. bench ? Why sign your name "anonymous"- no guts?
ReplyDeleteSure are A LOT of internet bench press champions out there ! You probably have trophies all over the place - huh ?
Joe - my real name
That doesnt count as a full press - the spotter is crap.
ReplyDeleteThe spotter is crap? As I wrote before, if your literate enough to read. A good spotter stays with the bar at all times! AT ALL TIMES! This is 465lbs some times 520lbs. I don't think half you twiggy want to be's can phanthom the idea of 520 lbs sitting on your chest. Once you Anonymous lifters get past 200 if ever, and try to compete with my 49 yr old wife with a 200lb bench then start talking to me about the do's and dont's of POWER LIFTING not body building. I am confident that all you negative people out there can't even lift your own body weight let alone 2.429 times your body weight. All the anonymous writers with all your negative vibes. Some people are thought of being ignorant, you have all left no doubt you are. So see the rest of my photo bucket and then.. and only then leave a reply. Negatives are eaten by my spirit and used as stregnth on the bench. So keep the rude replys coming. Stupid! LOL! Please forward an address so we all can see your champion lifts. Plus then we can see your all so talented spotter. Come on and show us turds how it's done!
ReplyDeletehttp://s702.photobucket.com/albums/ww28/bigarm19/?action=view¤t=20090903175717.flv
ReplyDeleteThis is for people who just comment with out reading. Go to the address just above, revert (go back) to the first video on the board. The box is located near the top left corner. As stated. Go to the first video. 405x2 This way you can see the spotter with out hands on and I hit two reps with full comp pause. Then go on to see my boards work out. THEN I DO THE LIFT POSTED BY LEE HAYWARD.
So for the ney sayers. Warm up with your BW plus 10lbsX10reps and then 1.471 times your bwx7 then 1.892 times your bwx2 then 3 boards 2.429bwx3 then 2.429x3 2 boards then 2.429bwx2 then hit 2.172xbw for 1 rep with full comp pause. Please then tell me what a cheeseburger turd I am. YOU CAN'T DO IT. I can at 48 years 11 months. YOU can't!
Why is it that some people, who have no idea about powerlifting, feel the urge to jump in and bash someone and talk crap about something they no absolutely nothing about. This actually makes the person who does the bashing look like an idiot because it just shows how little they actually know.
ReplyDeleteFor example, I would never go in on a Tennis website and then bash someone saying how crappy their serve is (or whatever) because I know sweet F-all about Tennis.
So why do people who know nothing about powerlifting bash powerlifters for doing low rep training?
Hint, in case you don't know powerlifting is a 1 rep event, if you ever go to a powerlifting meet this will become quite obvious very quickly.
And the lifters will use spotters for safety purposes. In a meet they will use 3 spotters (one on each side and one in the middle) who follow the bar very closely and are ready to jump in if needed. I don't know about you but I sure as hell wouldn't want to get pinned under a 500 pound bar so it only makes sense to have an experienced spotter close by.
Anyway, the reason I posted this to begin with is because I think Bill did an amazing lift and I wanted to congratulate him for it.
And for the Anonymous bashers out there, I'll give you equal opportunity to share your lifting accomplishments as well. So if you have any training videos of yourself pumping out massive weights for high reps and no spotters I'll gladly post those as well.
Lee, You hit it. I tryed to explain it in many veriations but I feel I missed it. YOU! You nailed it. Thanks again. I will post the 27th September 2009 meet soon afterwards. There, people will be able to see a powerlifting meet official lift.
ReplyDeletehey, for the guy who thinks the spotter is crap... Check out this link, then lets get your opinion on a spotter????? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSJCDcAKShA
ReplyDeleteHey thanks for the video. Now you know why we keep our spotters REAL close. Almost hands on.
ReplyDeleteWhen I work out with 500+ lbs, I want the reasurance if I goof. I'm safe! Safty is the key to all success. Thanks again for the Video.
Damn nice bench! Good to see older guys still going at it like myself! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment. Hopefully this weekend I can show the doubters and kids how it's done. I'm looking to finish with a 520 Comp bench @ 218 BW. It will be filmed. I'l post when the lifts are up.
ReplyDeletePlanned lifts: 465-490-505-520. I have to make the 505 to attemped the 520. But I will!
the f for the ney sayers!even though pops here is already in his late 40's it really good that he can still lift that kind of weights.for those kids who dont know nothing maybe you should keep on reading what is on this site so that youll improve your knowledge about lifting.
ReplyDeleteyeah lets see you do 10 reps without help!anyone who trains with help can do it!
ReplyDeleteHoly shit man.
ReplyDeleteI know VERY few guys your age that even workout let alone lift clean. 500 lb benchpress is VERY impressive. People think that spotting isnt training properly and act as if its a less manly way to train. Thats complete bullshit. How tough are you when you cant even push your max and when you try to , you bust your ribcage because your to naive to ask for help.
Good lift man.
huh i dont see what useless are in this that u look like a big fat container ,but u can lift 520 lbs.Is that so cool?U should realy trimm urself and dont all the time say about ur age its just a number
ReplyDeletemy real name:Erwin
WOW. is all I can say. Wow!
ReplyDeletedefinitely a good motivation!
Thanks. Congrats and good luck!
To me age is just a number. Explain why I should not. As for my looks. I'm training at 220 and competing at 214-16. My Doctor says I'm in great shape and I should stop lifting so much weight, it is uncommon to challange the body such a way. I'm rated the all time 220 Masters II class raw bench pressers in the world. So! If I'm fat thats were and what I'l stay. In the power lifting world there is a saying. Nobody cares what you look like, it's what you put up that makes you look good. And for another little ditty. Try and going to a full power event. Show me all the cut lifters. Maybe one or two. Never holding the World Championship Belt like I have twice.
